Privacy Policy
My Craft Buddy ("the App") is developed by Lab 2788 ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using My Craft Buddy, you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
My Craft Buddy stores the craft supply, project, and photo information you choose to enter into the App, including:
- Craft supply and inventory details you enter (names, quantities, categories, notes, etc.)
- Photos you take or select of your craft supplies and projects
This information is stored on your device. We (Lab 2788) do not collect, receive, or have access to this data on any of our own servers, we do not operate a backend for the App.
iCloud Sync (CloudKit)
If you use the App on more than one device signed into the same iCloud account, My Craft Buddy uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data (including photos) between your devices. This sync happens through your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Lab 2788 does not have access to your iCloud data, Apple stores it in your private iCloud database, which only you can access.
If you do not want your data synced via iCloud, you can disable iCloud access for My Craft Buddy in your device's Settings app.
Subscriptions and Payments
My Craft Buddy offers optional monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions as well as the one-time lifetime purchase option. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not collect, see, or store your payment information (such as card numbers), Apple handles billing directly.
We receive only a confirmation from Apple that a subscription is active, which the App uses to unlock subscriber features. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings app under [your Apple ID] > Subscriptions.
How We Use Information
- To provide the App's core functionality: tracking your craft supplies, projects, and related photos
- To sync your data across your own devices via iCloud, if enabled
- To unlock subscriber features once Apple confirms an active subscription
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with any third parties. The two outside services involved are Apple's CloudKit, used solely to sync your data between your own devices under your own iCloud account, and Apple's App Store / StoreKit, used solely to process subscription purchases.
Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device (and in your private iCloud account, if sync is enabled) until you delete it within the App, delete the App itself, or remove it from iCloud.
Your Choices
- You can delete individual items or photos at any time within the App.
- You can delete all local App data by deleting the App from your device. Your iCloud data will need to be deleted separately.
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in iOS Settings.
Children's Privacy
My Craft Buddy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
